Formular einfüllen„Every patient who comes to my office learns that any dental problem can be treated. True healing comes from changing habits and we both need to collaborate as a team to control the disease. Commitment is the key. „– Dr. Claudia Julieta Rodas Flores.
Dr. Claudia Julieta Rodas Flores is a dental surgeon and specialist in pediatric dentistry. 80% of their patients are children from 5 months to 12 years, to whom they apply preventive and restorative treatments. However, she has acquired enough experience to solve cases in adults, since she has practiced general dentistry since 2007. Both health and aesthetics are the benefits she seeks for her patients. She works at the San Lucas Dental Center, a multi-professional clinic that has the latest techniques and equipment for dental treatments. Located in the municipality of San Lucas, Sacatepéquez, it is 12 km from La Antigua Guatemala.
The most common dental problem in children is cavities, which appear due to the high consumption of sugar and poor dental cleaning. A dental veneer is usually enough to make amends for the tooth. Dental veneers are pieces of a material, such as porcelain. They are used to treat pathological and aesthetic problems, such as changes in the color and shape of teeth, cavities, and poorly prepared past restorations. On the other hand, Dr. Fonseca decides to resort to a pulpal treatment when the deterioration of the tooth is excessive. Less frequently, the dentist faces pathologies that require minor surgeries, such as fibroids, mucoceles, sublingual and labial braces. Unlike children, adults usually go to the clinic for a fixed or removable dental prosthesis, as well as aesthetic restorations. Among other treatments that dominate, are complex extraction, cuts in bone sutures, and tissue removal.
The dentist is inclined towards the use of resin as a restorative material, although she also dominates the handling of steel, in case the patient prefers it. At her dental clinic in Sacatepéquez, the doctor has other state-of-the-art technologies such as laser, which reduces pain, bleeding, and time in invasive treatments. Likewise, technologies are used that adapt to the specific needs of patients, such as, the elaboration of a ceramic or metal dental prosthesis.
The San Lucas Dental Center, located between Antigua Guatemala and Guatemala City, went from being a small dental clinic to one of the most updated dental centers in Guatemala. It has renowned specialists such as Dr. Rodas, Dr. Ana Cecilia Cabrera, dentist of adolescents and adults, Dr. Martha Georgina Fonseca, dentist of adults and seniors, Dr. Betzy Marilena Portillo, orthodontist children, youth and adults, Dr. Héctor Licinio Torres, oral and maxillofacial surgeon of youth and adults and Dr. Juan Sebastián Rodríguez, a specialist in 3D implantology. In 2016, the dental clinic obtained international accreditation from Acreditas Global, a subsidiary of the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare (AAAHC). This institution, based in Chicago, guarantees compliance with quality and safety standards and protocols in health centers such as hospitals and ambulatory surgery clinics. Located 12 kilometers from Antigua Guatemala, the San Lucas Dental Center has the endorsement of the AAAHC to offer any dental treatment to the patient, both local and foreign. The location of the center is ideal for those who want quality dental care without going to Guatemala City.
